Scratch
The beginning
of something new,
is an exciting venture,
a toilet hugging,
nerve tip ends cutting,
throat, heel, back of knee slitting,
that spurts out sheets of joy
and contrasted miraculous pain.
Bandage that
and you have the middle,
and the healing process,
the settling of sand,
the foundation of the blocks-set,
and this is moment,
in all truth,
is when things really have begun.

nice transition from the first stanza to the next bit. it makes me wonder if i'd prefer the first or second beginning.
